Well, this is really bugging me because it makes my car look dirty. The gas tank cap doesn't close all the way. I mean it CLOSES, but it sticks out about 1 - 2 CMs. Really noticable if you ask me, any suggestions?

My ride is a Honda Civic Hatch 97.

 

Mine sticks out, but not that much.

 

Dang, I'm just wondering why cant it just close all the way. It's kinda tacky don't you think?

 

there is problay a little latch in there that is just bent out because someone before you mighta opened it up too much it could problay jsut be bent back

either that or someone tried opending it with a screw driver and bent the tabs out

Well I went outside, I'm not sure its really sopose to look but the "hook" the black hook is bent down? Does anyone have a photo of how it should look? Maybe I should bend the clip forward a bit.

it should really cheap metal on the hinges. You can't just bend it so it looks better?

push the tab in a little with some pliers.. the one that hooks onto the little black ****
