Defective Trunk Latch
Hi everyone about two weeks after I got my Si, I had a problem with my trunk not opening. The button on my key wouldn't open it and neither would the lever on the inside. Even the guys at the dealer ship couldn't get into it. They eventually had to take out the back seats just to get to the inside of the trunk.
I think all of my old Honda's had a **** that you could pull to get into the trunk from the backseat but my Si doesn't have one. I think it should for cases just like that. Anyways, I was wondering if this has happened ot anyone else or if it was just me?

It's just Funny imagining those dealer guys trying to fit into the trunk by back seat!!!!! hehehehehhehe!~~~~ just a thought
But yea I have NP with mine... but My friend with 2001 GSR has a trunk latch problem.... it's kinda differ. from yours. When he closes his Trunk, for some reason his latch doesn't want to lock up.... so he always has to slam it couple of times to lock up......(sometimes You just need Good old butt slapping
)

Yea they replaced it no problem. They had to break the plastic rear dash that holds all the speakers to do it though. They replaced that too. It just seems like a lot of work just to fix the latch. Took about a week. I had to drive around with all that stuff rattling in the back.
