trunk problem

Default trunk problem

hey guys got done doing some christmas shopping today i opened the trunk and put all the stuff i bought in the trunk. i went home to go take out the gifts i bought i went to go open the trunk. and when i tried to open the hatch with the switch, it didnt open all it would do is make a sound that the motor was running like trying to release the hatch. i tried using the key also and nothing samething. is there away to fix this problem easily please let me konw im tired of going through the back seat to get myy **** out of the trunk

i swear all tegs had this prob. cuz all mine did. its a PITA isnt it. lol. sometimes i would have to dick with it for 10 mins to get it to open.

Bump...Curious for an answer as well. I've got the same problem on my 98. Only way to open the trunk is to turn the key in the rear tumbler all the way to the right and hold it while you lift the trunk. Otherwise, it's stuck closed.

Funny thing is Honda will refuse to admit there is a prob with them too. lol. I just dealt with it, but take it to Honda. Warrantee's are nice if they will acknowledge there is a prob

The worm gear has lost a few teeth.. Mine did it too..
I have a spare now just in case...

'98 I think? Whenever they lost the release by the gas flap release.

yea i have warranty on my car still but i didnt feel like going to the dealership and waisting my time there i wanted to see if there was ne thing i can do to make it a wuick fix and also i tried holding the key for a while and nothing also

unless you find a way to get teh trunk open w/o getting to the point of breaking it. i say jsut take it to the dealer.
