ok so i checked the codes it was throwing and its a 6 & 7.
six is coolant temp sensor
seven is tps
my question is will the tps not being calibrated cause it to not rev past 5500?
also my car is running rich but im sure its from the coolant temp sensor thats not a big deal to me ill fix that but i really wanna know what would cause it to not rev where it should.
its a b18b in a eg and turbo.
the tune is the same it always was everything is the same on the car until this happened.
any ideas on the revving problem?

pretty sure the tps code will cause it to not rev all the way.
i would gaurantee one of the two codes is causing it anyways. get em fixed and find out

I have the same problem in my 90 integra. It won't rev past 5500, its like it bogs out, and my check engine light goes on every once in a while. Do you think it would be the same problem or just an old motor?

any tips on how to calibrate the tps? I know you have to use a multimeter and .4V is 0% throttle and 4.5V is WOT.. but getting those damn leads into the wires is impossible.
I guess im gona have to call my tuner to grab his laptop and his crome..

Search for it. There are threads on TPS calibration. If you can't probe the wire, strip it, duh.
And none of those CEL's will cause your car to run rich.
I also assume you have a chipped P28, otherwise your boy with Crome isn't going to be able to do anything for you...

if you are throwing a code then the ecu will go into limp mode and not let you redline. to calibrate the tps, just use a needle and stick it in the middle wire. put the red/pos lead on the middle wire and the black/neg lead on a good ground. then adjust the tps to .5V
