Default HELP! Boost falling off with greddy profec b2! grrr! help!

Uhg ok i know how all the settings work but i cant get it to hold a steady boost level for the life of me. Im using the tial 35mm gate with 8psi spring on a revhard manifold. Im trying to get my low setting to hold 15psi, now i can get it to spike to 15psi but then it always falls off. WIth this setting:

Set 29% / Gain 10% / Set Gain 11.0psi
- boost spikes to 15.1ish @ 5500rpms then slowly falls off to around 11/10psi @ 7000rpms

so i fiddled with it alot and came to these settings:
Set 30% / Gain 45% / Set Gain 8psi
- boost spikes to 15.3 psi and then falls off to 13/14psi

Also I notice as I turn up the gain the wastegate is like opening and closing instead of slowly opening cause at WOT in boost i can feel the car getting slower and faster as it fluctuates between 13 and 14psi.

Anyone have any tips? [aside from switch ebc's]
Should i try turning down the set and increasing the gain? help!

I've got the same controller. I run the tial 38mm gate with 8psi spring and my settings for 16lbs are this:

Set 42% / Gain 20% / Set Gain 8.0 psi

My boost holds strong all the way to redline. For your setup just lower the set to like 36% or 37%. You want the Set Gain around the same value as your wastegate spring. Let me know how these settings work out.

Good Luck

if boost is falling off then raise the gain. If it still falls off then you probably got a boost leak. Although even with a leaking bov i could get boost to hold steady to redline with my profec.

lol thanks yeah- thats the link in my sig

ok so i tried the above suggested settings, came down to this:
Set 32% / Gain 20% / Set Gain 7psi

These settings see it spike to like 15.3psi and then it wavers around the 14.5-14.7 area. I think if i turn down the setgain a lil more and increase the set i should have it holding steady. I think cause im using a revhard/drag style manifold the setgain being too high is causing the spike, since the WG is on the #1 runner....

Ima try increasing set to 34% and setgain to like 6psi and see how that runs ill post results of course

yeah the profec can be a PITA. but i would suggest tuning it to your desired boost level with the set gain at 0. then once you have the proper boost level and consistency, you can increase the set gain to help with spool time. having the set gain too high will cause spiking. also remember as you increase the gain, the boost may go up a little as well. so once you have consistant boost then you can increase/decrease the set so more.

edit: just for reference my 10psi setting is set 22 / gain 15 / set gain 65 (revhard & tail 38mm)

thanks for all the help! I tried starting from scartch with everything at 0 and set at 30%

Set 32% / Gain 20% / Set Gain 0

This yeilds ~15psi throughout the powerband but i am getting a "last boost" reading of 16.5psi?? I have had people watch the unit (my boost gauge is busted) and they dont see it hitting 16 anywhere.... fawkin confused... anymore ideas?
