Default Comptech Header - Buying or Not Buying Poll

Okay, there has been much discussion about the Comptech header release. Some say they will not buy because it is a shorty. Some will buy because it is better than the DC header. So I want to see how many will actually buy it or not.

No responses are needed. The other threads cover peoples opinion and information regarding the release.

Depending on my engine setup (which is still up in the air)
you can NOT go wrong with comptech

What kind of #'s do you think we can expect from the shorty? I am assuming the will come out with the RH eventually. Will there be any difference in sound with the shorty?

I put will buy because im not exactly impressed with what I have heard from DCs header... I don't know what the diff in a shorty or a race header is, other than i "THINK" that race headers tend to void warranty? Like I said... im still clueless on headers... Though that will be the final piece in my bolt on collection until Turbos are perfected, and I save the money for everything i need to build a turbo that lasts.

A 06' Si header on the car is around 12' long. Thats why it is called a Shorty. The race header will eliminate the cat. Unless you have emissions in you area, I would not get a race header. Personally I would wait for more headers to come out. The Comptech will be around 450.00 for a header. Which is pretty expensive. But it should provide around 10HP.

Good point, which is why I have been more interested in this header.

Shorty headers don't give good gains, but if you want to stay legal, you can't go wrong with a Comptech header.

hey guys, I'm currently an accord owner but I'm looking at getting an Si towards the spring. I'm curious about the race header. for those that have it and that are worried about emmisions, is it because you'll blow a code or is it because of the smog ***** in cali? In AZ they just don't care as long as you pass the sniffer test. I'm assuming you could do the O2 defouler trick, or O2 simulator trick right?

I talked to them a few days ago. They said a few more weeks. Price will be around the cost of the RSX header ($529).

Exhaust will be an additional few weeks afterward.
