Default what the hell is the differance between itr and ctr pistons?

ok i have a jdm b16 and i wanted to change the pistons to ctr, but people are saying running thse pistons will yeild crazy compression ratios, but i have a compression calculator and it doesnt nearly come close to what people are saying. they say run itr pistons, but what i dont understand is that if the jdm ctr angine itself has a 10:8:1 compression and the itr has a 11:0:1 compression, why would the ctr pistons yeild higher than the itr pistons?

yeah but why would the ctr be better than the itr if the stock engines allone dot yeild that cp ratio?

i know right very confusing thats why i really want to find out so i dont put the wrong thing in and have a crazy high compression and blow my engine by using pump gas.

Its not that confusing.....using ctr pistons only in a B16A assembly will yeild you 11:1 compression, equal to that of the JDM B18C type R. It works fine, and many people do it.

just did the compression calculator from zealautowerks and this is what the results were http://www.zealautowerks.com/

Block-B16A
81-Bore (mm)
77.40-Stroke (mm)
203.25-Deck Height (mm)

Head-B16A
42.70-Combustion Chamber Volume (cc)

Piston-PCT (JDM B16B)
8.63-Dome (cc)
30.73-Comp Height (mm)

Connecting Rod-B16A
134.00-Rod Length (mm)

Headgasket Thickness-OEM 3-layer
0.02600000-Thickness (in)
0.00-Bore diff (mm) *

Maxium Operating RPM-8000

Elevation-fl which is 100ft

Results
Static Comp Ratio-11.91: 1

Effective Comp Ratio-11.89: 1

Displacement-1595.55cc

Rod / Stroke Ratio-1.73

Piston-to-Deck Height-(-0.007)

Mean Piston Speed-1713fps

Max Piston Acceleration-114842fps2

because the ctr is a 1.6 and the itr is 1.8 a smaller engine producing almost 200 hp needs the high comp as in the itr its almost the same thers really no diffrence the ctr pistons in my book are better
