Default ctr pistons vs je high compression pistons

im debating on getting ctr pistons or je high compression pistons for my euro spec itr motor ,i like ctr because of the jdm

well there is a big difference between cast CTR pistons and forged JE pistons, besides just the cost. It is a different engine building procedure, so make sure you know what you are getting into.

I am opting for CTR's cause of the cost in my LS/VTEC.

Oh Yeah, The fact that they are JDM had nothing to do with it either

I hope you aren't building this yourself.

i would get the JE only because ive read that with ctr you encounter valve issues which could limit your tuning because they are designed for a different deck height, i could be worng tho. but hell why not get JE its going to cost about the same plus they will be new

Hahaha let's make another post bashing on the guy and really waste some time when it's already been done 9 times over instead of explaining the differences to a guy who posted a Q wanting to learn OMG JDM SUX



I'd go CTR, forgings are very hard on your bores and overall engine life - more so than any of that "rod/stroke ratio" crap you hear bandied about.
