I recently noticed that my car temperature rises when I am in VTEC. Has anyone else experienced this? I am running Mobile 1 10-30 full synthetic oil with a Hamp oil filter. Also, my temperatue is a little below the half mark, do you guys think thats a little too high?

How long are you in VTEC before your temperatures rise? 6000+ RPMs will create more heat...........

You currently own 5 cars?

 

My stock temp gauge needle never moves once it reaches the mark to the left of centre, no matter how hot the engine gets but i've seen my GReddy temp gauge hit 100 deg C on a few occassions!

 

Thanks for the reply guys. The reason I ask about the temperature also, is becasue none of my other cars get that high. Also, as soon as I get off VTEC my temp lowers back down. It just seems like the car temp rises as the oil pressures rises and goes back down as soon as I let off VTEC.

My car temperature GETS LOWER when i am in VTEC. And at normal driving my temp. is a little it below the half mark, right where it´s ment to be. I´m running Mobile 5w-50 Super Syn oil with oem Honda filter.

Thats my coolant temp not the oil temp, after all this thread is about coolant temp

 

my oil temp jumps 5* when it goes into v-attack. at summit i was seeing temps of 185 last time, i was short shifting the straight
