alluminum epoxy/welding/intercooler question...

alluminum epoxy/welding/intercooler question...
ok, i have front mount intercooler on my turbo setup of my accord which i assume is alluminum... the two tabs on each end of the tanks have broken off so all that is holding up the cooler is just the plumbing... i have not much welding skill let alone with aluminum... is there an epoxy or soemthing that any of you guys would recomend? i could take it somewhere and probably will, i was just curious though if there were any good and strong epoxys for this? thanks...
PS: i posted in the WELDING section also, i just thought i would post here as well since it has some to do with turbo stuff..

ttt... another question i had was... i was told when welding on a radiator it could cause problems.. is that the same with an intercooler?

take it to a shop, and have 2 nuts welded onto the top of the IC, then use metal bands with bolts to tighten into the nuts. JB weld is the only other alternative for welding (i use that term losely). I don't have much experience with JB weld except to fix exhaust leaks temporarily, etc
try homemadeturbo.com for at home ideas to fix turbo related problems

kool man.. i didnt quite catch the whole nut/tightening process.. but im deff on the same page for the JB weld haha... thanks

buy 2 nuts, of whatever size you want, say, 3/8" or 1/2", weld those on top of your intercooler, so that you can thread a bolt into one of them. inbetween the nut and the bolt, mount a bracket, then attach the bracket to your car.
a longer bracket will absorb some vibration and possibly prevent the intercooler mount point from breaking again.
