manual transmission
alright so i'm about a buy a 1996 integra ls. its an automatic and one of the first things i'm going to do is swap the tranny. i know you can use any b series transmission. should i just go with a b18b transmission or would i benifit using something like a b16a2 or b18c? i'm just going to turbo the b18b and tune it.
I heard the gsr and b16 are goo dbecause of the short gearing but then i heard someone say for boost longer gears are better which i belive is bs...If your gonna swap a trnny jsut get a good one and be done..

Yep, I'd have to say, show me proof that it is internally stronger than a b16/type r transmission.
Plus, how exactly does it "grab better" ?

If i buy a 4000 dollar car... 1000 more is quite a bit to me. The Op and my self are both younger than you and money is much harder to come by.
My point was just wait for what you want and save a grand.

Exactly. All you have to do is be patient and look for good deals. Ill be picking up all the necesary parts plus stuff thats not needed for 350. Minus the tranny.
