Default ABS or NO ABS??

i got a 1995 gsr dc2 and i wanna move the ABS from where it is i was thinking bout relocating it around where the battery used to sit but i got the problem with the hardlines do they have to be a certain length or as long as they are all the same distance apart from each other. also would it be safe to remove the ABS completely i know if you panic and slam on the brakes your wheels are gonna lock up then you wont be able to stop but is threshold braking really actually more responsive then ABS if performed right???

-well about the relocating the abs i want to move it around where the batt used to be...i hear that steel braided lines make the brake pedal mushy? is it a fact or myth???

thanks for your help honda-tech members!!

You just want him to buy your stuff I am thinking about removing my abs later but it is more involved then it seemd, rs prop valve, mc, lines, etc. I have also heard that ss line make it mushy but have not seem evidence..

Why.....?

There really aren't any good reasons to remove ABS unless you have a show car and want to clean up the bay OR you truely can brake better on the track without it.

If you still want to continue with this, you will need to get the brake prop valve from an Integra RS and the lines to go with it. Good luck.

im gonna post pics of my GSR non-abs conversion.

Im re-using the GSR brakebooster and master cylinder, im re-using the gsr brake lines. How? I cut, bend and flare the lines to fit. The only part Im buying is a 404 prop valve from an RS, $40 from anyone on here.

My engine bay is super supe clean.

well yea pics would be apreciated how would you be able to use your stock master and booster also what do you think about relocating the abs pump to where the battery is?? as long as all the hoses are equal length it should be fine correct?

they do not need to be equal length.

My ABS light had been on for months now but I leave it on because I'm not driving my car in the winter and it matches my maint required light so it is matching.

you can reach under the dash above the gas pedal, there is a small black box mounted to the plastic part of the dash, it has a green button, you can hold it down and that manreq light will go off

yea just go to imageshack.com upload your pic them same the direct webpage url where the pic is being hosted then when you come back here type in the text box and thats it.

-now for the abs to work properly so there is exactly even pressure dont the brake lines to the front brakes have to be equal in length and the rears equal in length so that the rears recieve the same pressure at the same time and the same for the front brakes??

-what does a prop valve do??

length has nothing to do with this.

distributes the correct pressure to the front and rear calipers.
