Default Help! Idle Problems!

I thought I fixed the problem but today when I was going to go for Emissions it did that thing where when I first start it (when the car is already been driven for a while and is warmed up) it revved to 3000 and tried to go higher, then I drove it a few feet and it went back down. I noticed when it does this if I rev it to redline it will go back to where it is supposed to be. What could be wrong. I passed emissions today with flying colors so now I'm not so sure it was a sensor. And I already cleaned out the throttle body and I don't see anything wrong with that. What could it be?

I don't think it's mechanical because I cleaned out my throttle body.

I am pretty sure it's not a vaccum hose because the car eventually will idle at 800.

Try your Fast idle thermo valve. It sit's right under the Throttle body. I think your valve is getting stuck. Give that a shot.

Could be the fast idle. I doubt it is the Themostat because my gauge reads C at Cold and then a little under the middle at normal driving which is where it is supposed to be, so I don't see how it is broken.

Some of the stuff looked old so maybe I should adjust that fast idle valve.
