Default conflicting answers on B-Series swap

Alright, I have been through about 6 pages of B16 swaps, but none that cover what I want to do a B18C1 into a CRX (88DX)

I know the first thing is a MPFI swap, but I was thinking of going about it this way. Let me know if im insane

Im trying to figure out why you can't go with the B18 harness and ECU and strip back everything that was from the CRX before. I have a feeling this has to do with the wiring on the inside of the car, but unsure

Basically I am looking to find out which site would be better to follow, the B16 installs or the B18A installs....alot look similar but diffrent wiring harnesses and such are listed in each site.

I intend to use the hasport Cable-Hydro adapter for the tranny, and the motor mounts and shift linkages as well.

I have been told to use the 90-93 teg axles even though my motor is a 98 or newer...that all the info I got when it was shipped to me.

I am getting really hung up on this, and really want to get moving on getting a running motor in my car

The basic things I need answered is what axles to use? Swap intended or will the 90-93 work?

What harness to use? B18, D15, or D15/D16 MPFI harness?

Thanks alot!

90-93 integra axles and keep the stock harness and modify that to work with the new motor.

You modify your stock harness to accept the new motor. If you're swapping a B18A, follow those instructions. You say your motor is a '98, is your car too? If so, don't even worry about trying to swap a B18A into your car. It's a Federal emission law that the motor has to be the same year as the chassis or newer...none of the exceptions apply to our cars. HASport.com should tell you what axles you need. But basically you need modified B-Series axles with Civic outer joints...unless you're using Integra knuckles.

follow the b16 site, but use the b18 swap mounts. cuz b16 swap mounts will have the valve cover hitting your hood with a b18 because of the deck height differences

Ah, I didn't see that. The car should be converted to OBDII if it's a '98.

THis has been covered a bunch of times.

First thing rewire it for MPI.

Next follow the instructions for a B16A and add the wire for the IAB manifold.

Axles can go either way 90-93 or 94+ just use the correct seal on the transmission side.

Don't try to rewire the whole engine compartment with the later model harness just use pieces of it to convert the DX harness.
