Default Strange oil pressure problem...faulty oil valve relief?

Little backround of the motor. boosted d16y8 freshly rebuilt. the crank was polished and all the bearing checked into spec. new oil pump, pick up, bearings. now for the problem....

at idle i am only making 12-15psi oil pressure, cruising around at 3500rpm about 35-40 psi and then at WOT 5000rpm and at 6lbs of boost it goes from 50psi to 25psi very quickly and remains there until redline without moving. Has anyone had a problem like this? I am wondering if my new oil pump has a faulty valve relief or spring causing this odd problem. I have tried many things to fix this problem and am at a loss now so any direction would be great. Thanks guys!!!

gauge may be faulty, try another one just incase. if the oil pressure goes down to 25 above 3krpm where it should be 50+ min, stop driving the car untill the problem is fixed.. you will do more harm than good.

no dents in the oil pan.

i was thinkin the same thing but being as it was a new pump is it possible the maybe some flashing or defect in the mold could be holding the valve open causing the low pressure and then it opens up all the way when higher pressure is seen. i will see if i can get a mechanical gauge and see what the hell is going on. i understand that it is impossible to tell what the problem is without tryin some things so thanks again for the help
