Question about stock ITR rods
How much load can the stock rods handle n/a? I was thinking about some higher compression je's or rollerwaves, and was curious as to how much the itr rods can handle.
done you in order to run custom pistons , have to run forged rods, also besides if you plan n/a and want high revs go with forged

JE and Wiseco pistons have floating wrist pins. You will have to modify the ITR rods.
The rod is what determines if its full floating. Stock rods arent full floating so
no worries there. You just cant use aftermarket full floating rods with stock
pistons w/o modifying the piston to compensate.
The advantages of aftermarket rods have more to do with weight savings rather than overall strength.
The point of rebuilding a motor with new internals is (if the opportunity presents itself) to reduce the mass of the rotating assembly whenever possible. This will allow the engine to rev more freely and reduce the wear/tear on the bearings etc. You may also rev higher more safely - but that is less important IMHO.

WRONG again!
