gsr motor

Default gsr motor

i have a 92 civic with a 95 gsr motor in it and a gsr motor redlines at 8000 but i can only go 7500 hundred with mine. right when i get to 7500 it like cuts out or something and i need to go to 8000, if you know whats wrong help me out please.

check your timing and double check you spark plug.

it's pointless to rev to 8k. 8k is out of your powerband.

either wacked cluster, or you could be having timing belt weakness - i had a bad tensioner and bad belt and struggled for 6200rpm... then with new belt and tensioner i blasted to the 7200's and up (no point in being there but for awe)

Same problem in my GSR hatch, stock Civic clusters are known to be off sometimes with swapped motors.

Considering the B18C1 power curve peaks at 7600 RPM, there is definitely a point to shifting at 8000.
