Default help me uninstall a climate control

i need help uninstalling a stock climate control for an 88' crx... theres 2 lines running to the top of a turning mechanism and i dunno how to take them out because there tight... there located next to the turning mechanism where u change the air to hot and cold... any ideas? or walk throughs anyone have or know of...?

Take the two cables loose at the other end, up under the dash...
not at the controller...You have to pop off a small clip
then remove them from the post..

There is an "L" shaped bracket on the back of it
that has to come off too..

The air mix cable is underneathe the dash on passenger side. The heater cable runs thru the firewall and into the engine bay, you unhook it from under the hood. IF you can get a stubby screwdriver in there or pull the unit out enough, you can leave everything attached and just unscrew the phillips screw and pull the arm up. Just note it's position, more importantly the position of the peg and how it fits into the channel of the gear.

ima try the phillips screw idea better... but is it like super risky with the phillips screw idea? am i better off unattaching the cable thru the firewall?
