Jackson Racing High Boost Kit on a JDM B16
Alright, I talked myself out of a K swap (don't ask how) and talked myself into a Jackson Racing High Boost Kit. As most of you probably know the SC comes with 6,8,and 11 lb. pulleys, an s300 and RC 440cc injectors. No one buys this kit to run 6 or 8 lb puley's, they buy it for the 11 lb pulley, and so am I. I want to know if there are any words of wisdom on 11lbs on a bone stock JDM SiR b16a2. I know that the PR3 head can support great boost applications (see LS/VTEC Turbo) but I am mostly concerned about the factory 10.6:1 pistons. I also have a concern for my fuel system. Between the S300 and the 440s, enough fuel ]should be getting into the engine to reduce detonation, but will it?,or do I need to call Mr. Walbro and get a 255lph fuel pump, fuel regulator, fuel rail, and high flow filter? so far in the power/drivetrain department there is a stage 1 organic disc clutch (please hold the power) and stock header/cat going to a custom 2.5 in pipe and a Flowmaster that is about to get the boot. No cams, no cam gears, no valves, springs, retainers, nothing, its all stock. What do you think?
Correction the JDM B16a has a compression of 10:4.1. 10:6.1 is the USDM B18c5. I would be cautious at 11psi of boost, but with good tunning and sufficient fuel you should be ok.
