Default Turbo size for built B18C1.Please double check my stats.

i've done a lot of searching to help me decide exactly what size turbo to go with on my new engine.i've got a pretty good idea, but please look over my choice, add any input,thoughts,etc...

this is a street car.it sees the drag strip on slicks maybe five times a year.i want good power to run some fast ETs,but also something that's relatively streetable(i know that's kind of out the window in a big power turbo Honda, but you know what i mean).

setup:
81.5mm C1.
9:1 compression.
stock head and cams,ITR springs.about 8500RPM rev limit.
Victor X manifold,70mm TB.
Full-Race Pro street manifold.
FR backdoor I/C,all 2.5" charge piping.
3" downpipe,dumps about 6" after the turbo.
AEM EMS
750 RCs(may go to 1000cc if needed)
LS tranny

i'm not totally set on a HP goal.i'd like about 500+ crank i think.my goal is more like i want the most power i can get while using a turbo size that won't have a ton of lag.high 10 second 1/4 ETs would be awesome(i know this would require great driving and chassis setup on such a relatively "mild" setup).money won't allow a ball bearing turbo.

i had in mind the T3/60-1.
stats as from the FR site:
<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote &raquo;</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">Compressor Specifications:
-60-1 compressor wheel with a max flow rate of 61 lb/min
-0.70 AR compressor housing
-Good to 520 whp.

Turbine Specifications:
-stage 3 or stage 5 turbine wheel available
-0.48, 0.63, or 0.82A/R. turbine housing available
-4 bolt standard turbine discharge
-360 degree thrust bearing.
</TD></TR></TABLE>
my question is really on the turbine A/R.i'm thinking a .63 will get me the power i want, still give good top end power and not be too laggy?comments?will i need the .82 A/R?

stage 5 turbine wheel?comments?

am i way off on my choice?suggestions for a better turbo in the same price range?

THANKS
Chris

This might be a little out of your budget but the gt35r would be a great turbo for your goals, check on this site and look at some dyno graphs with this turbo, it keeps you right in the peak power band. Might I also suggest a gsr tranny.

Stick with the 60-1 , and get the .82 A/R exhuast..... i have one on my stock B16 and the **** spools fast enough for the street(vtec hits around 4500 rpm.. soo i'm at full boost around 5200-5500 lol hard to tell the tach drops to fast ) and im still just on a base map..... and btw that lag is your traction my friend

if you want 500+whp without lag buy a z06 jk

Either turbo will get the job done, but if you can afford it you will have more fun with the gt35r, also you will have more room to grow in the future.

i'd LOVE to use a Gt35,but budget doesn't allow it right now.
i actually pulled the GSR tranny about a year ago to put in the LS tranny.the longer gearing helped bigtime with traction on the street.

I also have a 60-1 with a stage V .82 a/r housing on my LS you won't be dissapointed.

Also its alot cheaper than a 35R.

Precision GT35R or SC6176 with S cover. Both are capable of producing 680hp and both spool very good .

Precision Turbo 219-996-7832
