Default 4.785 final in LS tranny

I've been messing with the fatboy gear calculator and i think this (4.785 ITR final drive into a hydro LS tranny) is an ideal combination for my setup. I figure it should bolt right in so long as I get the kit like inlinefour sells but my question is will this cause any problems with gears binding or anything like that? Or should it still be just as smooth at high RPM shifts because none of the actual (1-5) gears are being changed to effect the proportionality of the gears?
thanks in advance
