Default 1999 Civic Si stock shift ****

So I'm a proud new owner of a used 1999 civic si, and I'm looking to replace the crappy after-market shift **** the previous owner put on with a stock ****. So i called my local honda dealer and they said that it has to be special ordered from the manufacturer...all is well so far. Then the sales person comes back and says that the **** is $150 !! Is this correct? I've been doing a bit of research online and the most expensive ***** I can find are 50-60 bucks. Am I missing something?

Thanks for any help in advanced...

I'd suggest a Skunk2 **** instead. It is weighted so the shift feel is improved over the stock piece, and it is very similar to the factory ITR ****, so it won't look out of place. Best of all, it's quite a bit less than $150.

or you can find one at your local salvage yard. if i remember correctly...Si shift **** is the same as any other 96-00 cd,dx,lx,ex

or hell...you can use Tegs, if you like them as well

my current combination is GSR shifter with my DX 00 civic **** good luck bro.

Thanks for all the quick responses. I was looking at the skunk ****, so i'm probably going to go with that. Why is the **** so much? Is it the material it's made out of?

I got the skunk2 weighted **** and I love it. Best thing is it will save you much more money than buying the Si **** from the dealer. Maybe you should try searching around for a used one on your local classifieds, ebay, ht market place, or your local junkyard

If you want a direct OEM ****, http://www.hondaautomotiveparts.com has one for 91 bucks. Still not cool, but better than $150. That is if you want to stay OEM.

Skunk2 10th Anniversary ****

A buddy of mine hooked me up with one of the ***** and yes the 99-00 si ***** are leather wrapped with black stitching, but the leather wore out on me pretty quick. Went with the greddy **** as the replacement and love it. sits low and is weigthed slightly.

Why would I quote the part I'm not commenting on?
And I have an EM1 sitting outside in the driveway, and it has a leather wrapped shift **** which has been there since the day I watched them drive my brand new Si off the car hauler.
