03 civic. i have been doing oil change for a while now and after channging oil two days ago. i just checked my oil level in engine it's more than full. I believe i put the right amount of oil but when i changed it, i noticed i got little less oil than i m suppose to from the engine. it it bad having more than in engine than it is suppose to be. i would say its about 3/4 qt more oil in it. please advice.

Just drop the extra oil dude (or all of it) and start again, Its only gonna cost you a few $$$, if that.

 

true.. it could be deadly for your motor. depending. be safe and drain it.

 

Just drain it. Leave your filter alone as you won't need to change that.

Sometimes the extra oil will burn off, but I still would not feel comfortable with too much in there. Better too little than too much, in reality.
