I don't know if anyone got this problem, but when i check the ignition timing on the flywheel, i'd have to move the dizzy towards me(retarded) for it to be at stock timing. is this normal?

i did'nt do it by degrees as i have a simple timing gun. Theres 3 circles on my act flywheel and i got the middle one between the notch in the tranny.

you cant adjust the timing via distributor with the A4 since the ignition timing is all done by the ecu.
your timing marks could be off. Did you make sure the timing marks were correct by lining it up to the stock flywheel? thats what i had to do.

its an act prolight flywheel, and the motor is an h22a. I'm thinking i'll have to get a better timing gun that i can adjust how many degrees that i want, and set it for 15 degrees as dudish up there said. I just don't get how when the dizzy is turned all the way one way, thats where stocking timing is. I lined up the middle mark on the flywheel with the notch.
