Car barely starts and battery never recharges
I have a 91 lx. My battery got drained due to improper audio set-up. Its my understanding that the draining of the battery could have damaged the alternator. Since it doesn't recharge the battery at all does that mean this is the case?
With that said...should i replace the alternator first and see what happens, get both alternator and battery, or replace the battery first? I probly will replace both unless you guys suggest otherwise.
Thanks!

Take both the alternator and battery to AutoZone and have them check them both. It's free. That'll tell you what to replace.
It could just be that you damaged the battery and it won't hold a charge or that you put too much strain on the alternator by driving, trying to recharge the battery and listening to your system all at the same time causing it to fail. I'm not real sure. But if it was me, I would take them up to AutoZone and have them tested for free.

Do you have a battery charger? If so, try charging the battery first. If it holds charge, then you are good to go. If not, buy a new battery and start off new. That way you won't have to take your alternator out. It is not likely to damage your alternator the way you stated.
You do not say how old your battery is. If it was near it's stated life, you might want a new one now.

1)alternator is probably safe
2)use battery charger only if it's not the slow charging type, if you are using the massive jamming charger like autozone you could do more damage than good
3)deep drain will make the lead grid loss the holding capacity. 3-4 deep discharge=game over
