94 accord changing O2 sensor-special socket...do i really NEED this?
I'm gonna change my o2 sensor and i understand that i need a special socket in order to remove it, however; could i not just remove the large cover (i see 2 bolts that hold it in place) that the sensor is screwed into and the simply use a regular open ended wrench to remove/replace it? where i a m shops don't rent that socket and its #0 to purchase it.
Everything worked like a charm and yes you can save the hastle of buying or renting that special socket by taking off that metal heat shield (3 bolts) and then a 7/8 SAE wrench does the trick perfectly!

if you are having trouble. put on some heavy heavy gloves and padded coveralls, and try taking it off when it is hot.

probably not, 12mm? honda?
it's much easier to take it out with it slightly heated actually

that socket with the slit down the side for the wiring is shitty and worthless it opens up and not grip the o2 sensor after you use it a couple of times
