wheel hop on low profile street tires

Default wheel hop on low profile street tires

i have 1993 civic si hb wit a GSR TYPE R motor and wen i shifts hard from first to second tons of wheel hop occurs! how bad is that for my car and wuts the best thing i can do to elimenate or decrease it with out spending to much money im running low pro's street tires!

you could get prothane bushings or an engine dampener

traction bars. Or better suspension.

I went from stock suspension to kybs/GC's and eliminated almost all of my wheel hop in my old single cam turbo. I also had a motor mount insert on the back mount.

Depending on your HP you may need all the above. rota92 and I have JimFab lower and rear mounts, Full Race traction bar, urathane inserts in the tranny mount and Energy Suspension Race insert in the top mount along with a LSD.

The rear mount seemed to make the biggest difference at lower HP

my civic dynos at 175-185 with intake exaust and header and the wheel hop is very intense specaily from first to second then it just chirps to 3rd and 4th whicth is okay i think!
im jst stressing about braking something

Is it a GSR or a type R. For one you can get better tires wit a lil mor side wall and a traction bar kit. also a better suspension kit (I.E shocks)

its a b18C5 motor and i wanna keep the low pro tires cause i have those white type R rims so should i jst go wit the front traction bar or put bushings on the motor mounts whicth one would be a better bang for the buck?
