Default My prelude wont start!! Help!

ok..all i did was unplug my stereo deck and plug that **** back in and put it back in place. Afterwards i tried to start my car and it made a wierd noise for a 10 seconds then it went away. the problem is that wen i try to start my car my deck turns off and the antenna goes down and the car wont start. Could it be a blown fuse? im clueless.. please help!!

have you not checked your fuses?

we cant diagnose problems like this over the internet without you getting your hands dirty and taking a look for yourself.

First off why did you unplug and replug your stereo? Was the battery disconnected when you did it? Is the battery charged?

By the way everything shuts down, it sounds like the battery doesn't have enough poop to crank the engine and relays were just chattering.

Either the battery is crap or is severely discharged.

Maybe you have some sort of short in the dash. What exactly did you do when you pulled your deck out? Why did you remove it? Tell us anything you changed at all. Try disconnecting the deck and starting it.

I tried unpluggin the deck again and turn on the car but it still wouldnt turn on. all the ligtings works but wen i tried to turn on the engine the deck gives out an dthe antenna goes back down. i have no idea why it is doing this. i didnt check the four big block of fuses under the hood in the top left because i dont know how to check thoes. i dont wanna spend money for the shop..please help man

hey check ur ig switch relay..its under the hood of ur car @ the fuse box..it says lg sw..check to see if the fuze looks burnt..if so replace it..its only like 2 bucks @ napa..if thats not the case..check for ur main relay ...its located under the driver side dash..u can find it if u unplug where the cruise controls @ and the sunroof buttons @ ..remove that and behind that will be ur main relay.(its just a lil grey box).its pretty expensive..it runs about 70 bucks @ the dealer..but first open the relay and check it out first..try cleanig it by scrapn it off with a knife. scrape around the tacked parts..not the green part of the relay!..

if your battery is not dead then you have either dirty battery cables built up with corrosion, or you have a loose ground somewhere

i would clean the battery wires and replace all the grounds

This is FALSE INFO.

The main relay wouldn't cause problems like that.

The IG switch or whatever I don't know about that.
