Posting without using caps all the time would help..

But running boost on a gsr motor is no big deal, just have it tuned right,
It might have higher compression then an LS, but it's not That high.

UNLESS YOU SPECIFY TURBO SIZE, PSI DOESN'T MEAN ANYTHING. VTEC AND TURBO MIX VERY WELL, SO YOU ARE MISINFORMED.

TURN OFF YOUR CAPS LOCK. KTHX.

assuming you have a smaller turbo i would just run the 5 psi get some higher compression pistons and a good tune and you will have one quick ride

who says u need pistons? ur compression isnt that high, plus 5 psi isnt much for that motor. ur pistons should be fine unless u have a lot of miles. but in any case go with A.R.P. headstuds to ensure a tight fit. extra pressure in the combustion chamber can do alot of damage on a motor that isnt put together well.

You need to built your motor with every internal and you can run as much boost as you want! One of my friends just build his H22 in a civic hatch and he is going to run a GT40 turbo with about 22psi of boost and he wont have to worry about anything!

"I KNOW VTEC AND TURBO DONT MIX TO WELL"

you got that all wrong bub, it is a good mix, equals more power, more efficiency which leads to more fun. But you can run 5lbs easily on a completely stock GSR depending on the size of the turbo of course. 5lbs on a big 60-1 turbo is a lot of power compared to a smaller t3/t4 turbo running 5lbs, they both will push out different power and different performance on the same boost level. But with proper tuning and a good fuel management, such as hondata s200w/b, its all about the tune if you want to just run 5lbs on a stock motor.

you cant just say, hey im getting a turbo how much psi can run. theres so much more to it. you need to read up a little bit about what your doing before you get mommy and daddy's credit card. i would get you some links but i think honda-tech is fucked up or something right now

Del Sols aren't as light as you might think. Have to add a lot of weight to strengthen the chassis when you take the top off a car.
