BOOST!!!!
OK SO I HAVE A DEL SOL WITH A GSR MOTOR IN IT AND I BOUGHT A TURBO FOR IT... I KNOW VTEC AND TURBO DONT MIX TO WELL BUT IM NOT GANNA DRIVE IT THTA MUCH WHAT WOULD YOU RECOMEND DOIN TO MY CAR PUSHIN ONLY LIKE 5 LBS OF BOOST? I KNOW I NEED PISTIONS AND ALL THE INTERNALS BUT IS THERE ANYTHING ELSE?
Posting without using caps all the time would help..
But running boost on a gsr motor is no big deal, just have it tuned right,
It might have higher compression then an LS, but it's not That high.

who says u need pistons? ur compression isnt that high, plus 5 psi isnt much for that motor. ur pistons should be fine unless u have a lot of miles. but in any case go with A.R.P. headstuds to ensure a tight fit. extra pressure in the combustion chamber can do alot of damage on a motor that isnt put together well.
You need to built your motor with every internal and you can run as much boost as you want! One of my friends just build his H22 in a civic hatch and he is going to run a GT40 turbo with about 22psi of boost and he wont have to worry about anything!

you got that all wrong bub, it is a good mix, equals more power, more efficiency which leads to more fun. But you can run 5lbs easily on a completely stock GSR depending on the size of the turbo of course. 5lbs on a big 60-1 turbo is a lot of power compared to a smaller t3/t4 turbo running 5lbs, they both will push out different power and different performance on the same boost level. But with proper tuning and a good fuel management, such as hondata s200w/b, its all about the tune if you want to just run 5lbs on a stock motor.

I requested a short story for a title.

does you friend even own a honda? vtec and turbo dont mix HAHA if your only runnin 5 pounds i dont think you have to worry about upgrading the internals, take it to a good tuner.

Del Sols aren't as light as you might think. Have to add a lot of weight to strengthen the chassis when you take the top off a car.
