sprocket came off, what will happen if not fixed?

sprocket came off, what will happen if not fixed?
got a 92 honda accord, sprocket for the timing belt actually came out.......and now i can feel the belt just dangling there with no tension.......i need to drive it to a shop but what will happen if its not fixed
