Default Searched! Cant find Anything really like mine!

Car is running rich and very erratic... Before when i started it it would have a low, shakey idle and when i gave it gas it would either rev to about 2 or 3k and stutter... i believe its because i am getting too much gas?? i went around the block about 15 mins ago and when im driving it stutters alot... like its not gettting gas...

Car... 93
Engine... H23a3
Trans... M/T

Any help would be appreciated.

That would be for your IABs. And you can get to it from under the car. Its not EASY, but possible.

Yea it certainly could. Vaccum leaks are a common idle-hesitation culprit.

if you are running rich, its probably the vacuum leak, all the lines are connected at the intake manifold and a few t-fittings between different sensors, the leak could probably be throwing off readings by the map or other sensors, giving the ecu bad information so its not running right, most of the time when you have a CEL the ecu goes into limp mode which is basically running the engine with the safest timing and fuel settings possible since 1 or more sensors could be throwing the ecu off, so the vacuum leak is most likely throwing off sensor readings, ecu is using bad info, after a while it realizes its got some fucked up readings, throws itself into safe mode and gives a CEL so that the engine does not get damaged and the bad readings from sensors are ignored

iab's arent necessary, until you have time to get the right fittings and connect up the iab, just plug the open vacuum line/hole to stop the leak and your problems should be solved, also, you dont need the special right angle or whatever line, just use any autozone or pep boys (or silicon type stuff if you like the bling engine bay) correct diameter vacuum line, the little check valves and plastic connectors on the vacuum lines 99% of the time arent really needed....

you can get at that little box. i had the same problem. it does take some good tools and some smarts. if you still have the little piece that broke off you can use a soldering iron to "weld" the plastic back on. get another piece of that same kind of plastic from somewhere else to use as filler material. it took me about 1/2 hour of meticulous melting of the plastic and filling to form a nice "weld" but it's been holding good for awhile now.
