okay! its almost 5am right now. ive been working on my rear brakes since 1am. ***** killin me! i've been forcing my pistons to compress but that ***** not budgin. i even went to murrays and borrowed/loaned their tools that are made specific for brakes. even tried using a c clamp(which was my first tool that i used). i opened the resevoir cap to the brakes. nothiN! help
ugh! im going to sleep. please everyone, leave as much information. when i wake up, im going to jump right on trying to fix it again. its really pissing me off.
rear brakes,, u dont compress them like the front.. they screw back in.. if u look at the piston theres an X on the pad side,, i used a large allen wrench to turn that thing clock wise back in.. u could use something like a big screw driver or whatever you prefer ..
so you waited a few hours to post............
i pray you weren't successful in any fashion compressing your pistons, if so you may have a rebuild in your future.
i use a 1inch metal bracket to twist mine...goodluck

haha!! you need some sleep man.. you just have to rotate the piston clockwise to have it go in.. i just use screwdirvers for this.. just make sure that when you put the brake pads, the notch is perfectly aligned with the nipple thingy is aligned with the notch.. or else you'll get an uneven brake pad wear.. HTHs!!
It sounds like he has allready done the damage. If he was trying to compress the rear caliper back in for almost 4 hr and started with a large C clamp. Good luck man rebuilt calipers are not cheep they are around $125 plus core charge.

I got both of mine for $100 with the core charge added. They really aren't that expensive.
