fuel pump noise...
(95 gsr)- well i gutted the back of my car and i took the tar out. usually when im driving with the windows up i can hear a small pitch sound coming out my fuel pump. can someone explain to me if this is normal or something dangerous under pressure or leaking?
EDIT: forgot to mention i have a killswitch also hooked up to my fuel pump and when i hit the switch to the off button the noise stops, but when i put it back to the on button the small pitch sound comes back.

normal fuel pump sound.
ever stood outside next to a Chevy truck while it's running and heard that odd whining noise? Their fuel pumps are loud as hell. Be glad yours isn't like that.

X2 Be glad you don't have an aftermarket fuel pump, either.
