Car just wouldnt crank at gas stationn so we push started it it was good to go!

drove it home to do some testin..

tryed to hot wire the starter with the key in on position.. nothing happened.. Just the starter would spin.. that should bypas the ignition.. Any ideas??

 

crappy battery...if you push starte dit and it was good....but then was dead next time you tried from not rolling it. and the starter clicks.....most likely the battery

 

check resistance between solenoid and case, if it's open it will read out of limits meaning the starter needs replaced, if the starter spins then it obviously gets power, also check battery voltage...should be between 12.2 volts and 12.6 volts when not running, have someone crank the car, if the voltage drops below i think 10 volts while cranking replace the starter and the battery cuz all those hard starts on it did it no good.

 

this is my girlfriends car. we push started it and got it home. after we got it home. tired to push start it again with no luck. now when i put the key in the ignition, none of the lights on the gauge cluster come on(like the cel, batter, or oil light etc). the headlights and interior lights work, but the radio doesnt. and neither do the windows. my main concern right now is getting the windows up bc its going to rain tonight. and i dont want anyone to take stuff out of it bc we live in an apt complex. i already checked all of the fuses.
