Default ____ little hesitation on acceleration____

mainly happens when car is cold after first starting. Idle is fine and hesitation occurs in lower rpm's. doesnt seem to be VTEC related. (almost feels how my sr20 nissans used to when they had Mass Air Flow issues.) I just did a 90,000 service but they did not change cap&rotor. Will new cap&rotor most likely fix my problem ?

Any suggestions/ideas?

I have the same problem when the cars cold. Any gear will create hesitation while im pressing the gas. Its like as if nothings happening and then all of a sudden the hesitation dissapears by itself. This does not happen all the time though, but its been more frequent lately. Let me know if you fix it, this is driving me nuts!

Update* Someone explained perfectly what I'm feeling in another thread

"hesistation seems like a slipping clutch with the exception of the rpm rising? Example: the rpm does not rise or fall"
