Ej8 - D16 Jerking Problem?

Hi, I'm the owner of a 2000 Honda civic EX, and I've had this problem for a little while. Essentially, when I hit about 3000 RPM the whole car will start jerking, and the transmission will sometimes pop out of gear. If I hold the clutch in and just idle it that high, it bounces from 2700 to 3000 back and forth until i give it some gas to get it past that point. Anyone else had this issue or anything related? Thanks!

How does it idle when warm?

Let me clarify. Does it idle at higher than normal RPM when its at operating temp?

Well my Idle air control is broken, so on a cold start it idles very, very low but when warm it idles just fine. This problem is not consistant. meaning that it doesn't happen everyday. It only happends every now and then, and I also noticed that it will happen when idling that high around a sharp corner.
