I just installed skunk2 im, throttle body, aem fpr, and aem fuel rail on my 96 integra ls with 140k on the odo. it seemed as if it was running really rich at 40 psi fuel pressure so we lowered it to about 38 and it was running fine yesterday now i start it today and there is a loud tapping noise any ideas? psease help

 

Did you check the FP before you installed everything??

After the tapping started did you loose any power?

 

no i didnt check the fp b4 installing because i also installed the fp gauge at the same time, im too scared by the tapping to go drive it around.

 

Did you make sure, you torqued down the manifold down correctly, and I think that 38 psi is too lean.

 

we went from the inside out tightening and 38 being to lean is what i thought but at 40 it was spitting black smoke smelled liek fuel it had the signs of richness. I honestly am freaking out i have no idea what to do i think im in over my head

 

you think it could be the fp?

 

Could it be detonation?

 

does this FPR come w/ a provision for a vac hose on top?? if so, is it hooked up? if its hooked up, did u set the fuel psi w/ that on or removed?
