I have a Skunk2 IM and it is missing the spot where I am supposed to plug in the Fast Idle Valve Sensor looks like it would fit fine on my sisters D16Y8 problem is mines a D16A6. When I disconnect the sensor it revs to 4000+
Anyone have this mani installed on a D16A6?? Any help is much appreciated.

The A6 doesn't have an FITV. Are you thinking EACV?

It does have a fast idle temperature valve. it doesn't matter unless its like 20 degrees outsides or lower tho.

My bad. I was thinking about the TB for some reason. Which is where the FITV will need to be on this IM.

Dude, I know it isn't on the OBD0 TB. It's on the back of the IM next to EACV where the purge cutoff valve is on the Z6 IM. I'm saying that it's on the bottom of an OBDI TB which will need to be used in order to have it.

So do you have any options for me I was actually thinking about taking it to the machine shop and askin how much to add a spot for that sensor.
What do you guys think?

It works fine on the Single Cam ZC motor also my friend wants to buy it from me. But I really want to put it on...

You really don't need to have it on.

Well when I disconnect it, my engine revs up 4000 - 5000 rpms Is there any way around this? Maybe disconnecting the plug from the sensor?

my sensor isn't even connected to the harness. Its just bolted onto the back of the intake manifold. I'm guessing it shot up so high because there is a leak in the vacume line, block off the line and u should be fine.

Yeah, you can either not run it or use a Z6 throttle body. No real biggie either way.
