Prelude Suspension Set-up.
well, not the best, but whats a good spring/strut setup to replace stock? i want to lower it a little bit and improve handling but not absolutely ruin driveability. eibach pro-kit? thats what im hearing.. tokico/koni for struts?
just want something handling a little better than wont put me on the ground (i want to drive in the winter) and will handle a little better for autox, etc.
thanks
mike

2nd the ground control/koni setup, just make sure to get springs rates suitable for your intentions. Also, by performing this mod you will bump your car to either a ST* or SP class with some fast cars.
Although if you want ride quality over adjustability, a quality progressively wound spring should work well.

any rates you can give me to use as a reference? checked out that "official" thread and all it does is officially show you all the guys nice suspensions, not the cost, effect, or how it handles/feels.
so what does a full tokico setup run?? they have the HP line and the illumina its all a bit confusing...
the rsr spring rates are front:279 rear:229
rsr is known for their suspension yet i havent seen a single user with it.
koni yellows? what kind of money am i looking at for an adjustable suspension.. depending on how beneficial that is (as in how far it actually adjusts)i might just stick with a convential strut/spring. supposedly progressive springs like the pro-kit from eibach arent that great for track use, so what about the rsr? is it "linear" im not sure what indicates the difference between the two.

Koni yellow/ground control you wont regret it.
as for NEUSPEED RACE I strongly not recommend it..the winding on these springs are way too soft especially on the rear..which will cause the clunking sound....reference spring rate..neuspee race are way too soft...if you go GC...470f/470R will be great....or 470f/400R with Koni's you wont regret it.

The prelude i bought has Tokico blues all around, with neuspeed springs out back, and some coilovers up front. Im looking to replace everything soon- shocks maybe keep them or upgrade to some adjustables or just get a good set of coilovers. Im just not that satisfied with the ride quality. Its going to be my daily driver and would wrather have comfortability than performance of anykind right now.
and AsiAnVenOm- thanx for that comment about the neuspeed springs making clanking noises in the back i was wondering wtf that was hah.

I have Neuspeed Race springs with adjustable Koni yellow Shocks and plus a Suspension tech. Front and Rear Sway bar with the TYpe S prelude strut bar. Honestly I have had Neuspeed for 3 years now just got some new springs for my shocks and well my prelude sh , if it was any stiffer you would not like to drive it around everyday or even around any time. I ride with the shock in between soft and hard so shocks aren't even on hard because they were when I first got them, but it was to stiff to drive it in town.
My car doesn't have body roll and yes my car is droped about 2.25 and 2.75 due to the springs and shocks. Which I know that the guy who posted this thread doesn't want it low so some race springs of any kind would probably be to low for you. I like it so no worries!
If you want it any harder after you drive something like my car you are just asking for your guy ***** to get hurt everytime to run over something no matter the size.
I do autox and eventually I am going to try a roadcourse sometime soon.
I dunno I like the set up and it helps alot with handling.

5th gen here
I'm running a tokico sport suspension kit. Tokico actually sells the kit complete in one box. It comes with 4 Tokico Illumina 5way adjustable shocks and 4 Tokico sport springs.
I've been running the kit for about 3-4 months now and it's a perfect balance between comfort and performance.
Also if you want to roll in the winter turn the shocks to the softest setting for the most comfort, if you want to hit the track turn the shocks to the stiffest setting and the difference is night and day.
The drop is roughly 1.2-1.8 inches and I have no tire wear issues as of yet. Thumbs up to this setup.

and what about the Tein SS that everone raves about? can i adjust it to be tolerable on the street and in winter and then change things up on the track?im planning on getting a lot deeper into autocrossing next season.
i just put on HR race/koni yellows and i also have ST sways and ES poly bushings all around...the grip is insane even with tires that arent that great. the ride is not comfortable, but ill live
