GOt a quick question, when i shift my CRX from 1st to 2nd and 2nd to 3rd , it grinds when i shift, and when i down shift , if i shift slowly, it wont grind, other way around with the downshift,

i think i have low tranny fluid, might this be IT???

i usually shift slowly because im scared that if i keep grinding it will break something, what do you guys think,

i press the clutch down all the way everytime i shift, and it still does it, when i shift slowly, it will not grind,


might have to do with the RPMS? it will defenetelly grind when i shift at HIGH RPMS

well if you think its low on tranny fluid,why dont you check it? for all you know its never been changed and dirty as hell...
if the fluid is good,go for that synchromesh stuff...thats like a 50/50 chance...it fixes some peoples grinds and doesnt do anything for others...
pretty much its just the synchros wearing down due to age and misuse...if ur a D guy your better off finding a new one,but if your a B guy its definitely worth it to swap out the synchros with new ones...its not a difficult job if you know what you are doing...i suggest that you buy a helms manual and read as much about your car as possible

 

im a check my fluid, or might as well change it , why not,

dont have the money to change the transmission yet, so that will have to wait, ill try the oil first,

yep, let us know after chaning the oil, what happen , Hopefully ull find positive result,

Nornally if some thing is broken or damege, changing oil will not help,

Ill not change any thing,
