Looking to see what motor oil people are using and how they like it.

1. Not looking for what you think is the best, I just whant to know what you have and are using in your k20a2.

2. What do people know about Redline Oil and Royal Purple?

3. Looking for info on burn off and average life.

4. Please post any Oils that I missed.

i use royal purple. little to no burnoff even with the turbo. Mobile 1 I was topping off before the 3000 mark.

 

Mobil 1 seems to be the popular choice but I have heard alot about the K-series burning it off quickly? Myth, Fact or some people have a bad batch of motors?

 

ive been using M1 since my first oil change...from what i know vtec will burn any oil....but i think i remember someone saying that amsoil does not.

 

honda told me their oil is basically the same as mobil 1 synthetic, just bottled under their name, well i guess thats the dealership around here... so im not sure, anyone know anything abou this?

honda does use mobil stuff. it's just not synthetic.

 

I use Mobil1 for right now but when i do a swap to a K20A i am gonna step up to royal purple.
