tune up
My car has 92k miles and i think its time for a tune up. What sort of things should i check/ change. I just recently had the timing belt, and water pump changed. How hard is it to get the spark plugs? Do i need the platinum ones, or is that only necessary in VTEC`s? its a 93 si.
At 90k the biggest thing is timing belt and water pump. You can replace some of your other belts, such as power steering and altenator belts. Change tranny fluid, oil, check other fluids, replace spark plugs (NGK plat's are nice), new plug wires (magnecore 8.5's rock), and adjust your valves. Spark plugs are simple to install. you just need a 6" extension to reach the spark plugs to install/remove them.
