Help on installing POWER Spoon replica mirrors
I searched and couldnt find anything and people from other forums don't really know or don't wanna help. It was orginally posted in 92-00 Civic forum but they recommended me to post it up here as well.
Anyways, here goes...
So i got my power replica spoons off ebay. I realized the connector plugs from the mirrors are different than the plugs that are on my stock power mirrors.
first picture is the Spoon replica plug

the second picture is the stock power mirror plug

The stock female end (not pictured) has only 3 prongs. I tried plugging the blue, brown and white from the spoons into them and motor turns but I realize it does not turn in a particular direction. So i guessed I need that fourth (black) wire connect into something.
Now, is there another way to install this? The spoon kit comes with both male and female plugs, by the way.
thanks

But make sure you test the wires before you connect them. Use a dmm (digital multimeter) and prob the wires. Then at the switch hit the up and down side to side and you should see a voltage change. Then hook one by one to the same color wire and then test each wire and see if it does what you checked. In other words check the mirror goes down when you press the down button. If it dosent then just hook it up in another spot. Then when everything work then hook up everything.

thanks for teaching me how to fish rather than just giving me the fish! I will definately go thru that.
but...if anyone else wants to just gimmie the fish, that is still welcome.

that website teaches u everything on basic wiring...
the12volt.com for more complicated wiring things...
but wiring isn't hard...at all...
crimps, solder, and eletrical tape are ur three tools...
if u want you can add in a heat gun and some shrink tubing... but eletrical tape wrapped tightly around a wire does the same job
