Help on installing POWER Spoon replica mirrors
I searched and couldnt find anything and people from other forums don't really know or don't wanna help.
So i got my power replica spoons off ebay. I realized the connector plugs from the mirrors are different than the plugs that are on my stock power mirrors.
first picture is the Spoon replica plug
the second picture is the stock power mirror plug
The stock female end (not pictured) has only 3 prongs. I tried plugging the blue, brown and white from the spoons into them and motor turns but I realize it does not turn in a particular direction. So i guessed I need that fourth (black) wire connect into something.
Now, is there another way to install this? The spoon kit comes with both male and female plugs, by the way.
thanks

Re: Help on installing POWER Spoon replica mirrors (kaichun)
I have the same product, and after trying every possible combination I have come to the conclusion that the OEM mirrors are the only ones that work correctly with the stock mirror actuation panel. Nothing I did made them go left and right when I hit left and right or up and down when I hit those. They kind of moved where they felt they should go.
Needless to say, I just push the lenses where I need them and leave them alone
Good luck.

Re: (alan678)
from what i can tell by the pics..
the spoon rep only has up/down/left/right.. it does this with 2 actuators, i guess...
and reverses polarity to make it go either up/down or left/right...
have u figured out what pin does what on the spoon mirror??
lets name the pins 1-4.. in this order:
1 - 2
3 - 4
what happens when pin 1 has + and pin 2 has - 12vdc??
nothing: they are different circuits try pin 3
once u know what pins make the mirror go up and down or left and right then u just have to figureout which 4 pins on the stock do the same....
use a DMM to test out the pins...
the 8 pin molex of the stock, i'm guessing. is for mirror adjustment, mirror fold, and heated mirrors...
hope that helps...
---------------
3 pins only??
honda might have done movment by combining one of the grounds...
black normally means ground.. but who knows....
-------------
try the audio/video forum.... a bit slow. but ppl there will help with car wiring
