FINALLY! I have obtained the HOLY GRAIL! + Q's
Today:

From the start (over two years ago):

Anyways, and more importantly, I got my smog results (which passed), however it appears as if I'm dangerously close to the "max" emissions readings in the tests.
Example ...
HC (PPM)
TEST ------- MAX ----- AVE ---- MEAS
______________________________
15mph ------ 64 -------- 9 ------- 59
25mph ------ 47 -------- 7 ------- 43
CO (%)
TEST ------- MAX ----- AVE ---- MEAS
______________________________
15mph ------ 0.55 ---- 0.02 ---- 0.15
25mph ------ 0.54 ---- 0.03 ---- 0.10
NO (PPM)
TEST ------- MAX ----- AVE ---- MEAS
______________________________
15mph ----- 447 ------- 57 ------- 386
25mph ----- 764 ------- 50 ------- 25
Now, the reason why this worries me is because my settup currently is more-or-less stock, and I have some ideas for some mods in the future, and I am concerned with those mods potentially pushing me past the boundaries of future emissions tests.
What should I look at to try to lower these readings in the future? I have recently replaced the "usual" ... spark plugs, fuel filter, PCV. I have plans to replace the Cap and rotor and spark plugs in the near future.
My O2 sensors are as old as the car, so those may be ripe for replacement (but do not have any signs of oxidation)
I DO have a slight exhaust leak, and also a slight head gasket leak. Could these potentially contribute to the problem? (also planning on fixing this in the next few weeks)
Any ideas appreciated!

CONGRATS!!
I remeber how awsome it felt when I first passed the BAR inspection when I still had the eg hatch. Just make sure all the mods you do are CARB legal and you should never have a problem with cops.

good job! Thank god i don't live in CA!
Anyway, an exhaust leak usually only raises your O2 emissions which obviously isn't a problem, although can make the inspector wonder what is going on, esp if your vehicle isn't equipped with an air pump (which it obviously isn't).
The headgasket leak could change it a little. Not sure how, but the way i see it is that it's not designed to run with a HG leak, so i'm assuming it can't be too good. Try replacing your sensors if you're worried. Sometimes sensors can become skewed over time. So if you're wicked concerned, then shell out (or test first) your MAP, TPS, ECT, O2, and IAT sensors. All of them will change your mixture. Otherwise try playing with the timing. I believe advancing it can lower nox and possibly HC (don't quote me). Make sure you run high quality gas (no ghandi mart $hit) and bring your car in for a tune up which should include, throttle body cleaning, and a professional injector cleaning. Also change the fuel filter, along with the other stuff you mentioned, and if it fails (or comes really close) next time, then the cat may not be working 100% or you have other problems.
