Default d15b7 might not pass emissions test

Hey guys, I'm afraid that I won't pass emissions test when I go to do it in a couple days. If it doesn't pass I have to pay $500 and I'll only be allowed to keep the car on the road for 1 more year. When I did it two years ago it BARLEY passed. When they did the rolling test the max HC ppm you can get is 82 and I got 80. I'm sure that after two years this probablly has got worse. Is there anything I can do to lower that number? Thanks!

What are some issues with the car that you think won't make it pass?

You can do a test-only and see if it would pass. Gives you some insurance imo.

It burns oil pretty bad, it expells smoke but more of a grey smoke rather than blue and this is only when I punch it. The smell from the exhaust is horrible, not the typical burnt air/fuel mixture.

As for the test only thing, that's what I'm trying to get an appointment for and next week is the actualy test.

deff. go for a test, you can try the usual seafoam, new o2 sensor, tune up, perhaps use some of the super thick oil stuff, but in reality you are going to probably want to rebuild your engine soon

Thanks for the input man! I just talked to my buddy and he told me the same thing, new O2 sensors and try to run some 10w-40 oil. I'll give it a shot.

Oh and I have an extra z6 in the garage that's been rebuilt, I just need to find the time to swap it in. I defenitly won't make it before the test.
