Default Is this BRAND NEW Ground Control spring OK to use?

I have a new set of Ground Control coilovers that I plan to install this coming Monday. Something I noticed with one of the springs.

At one end of the spring the coil is welded to the spring/coil. At the other end at the same location there is a small gap between the end of the coil/spring and the coil it's very close too. All 4 springs are like this.

When all 4 springs are laid out with the spring rate / Eibach lettering facing the same direction one spring is laying the opposite way.

Should I install the spring with the lettering facing right way up or (lettering) upside down so the spring matches the other 3?

it wouldnt matter if it was upside down or not tho.

They are custom spring rates 450f/500r.

So, is one end of the coil supposed to be attached (welded) to the spring?

I may have to contact Ground Control about this

Brand new from Ground Control

One end is welded (not much weld just enough to keep the attachment. The other end is not/1-2mm gap.

ah, then i wouldnt worry about it at all. im still curious to see the welded end. im kinda skeptical it really is. the ones with gaps are going to compress and touch anyway its not an issue.

It's not welded..LOL. Probably just extra powder in that area.

Pic posted. I tried to run easy glide dental floss between the connection with no luck. Is the spring ok?

Does it matter which side is upright with the installation?

It's just coating. The spring is fine.

Now to finalize this thread:

Does it matter which way the spring is installed? Stamp/writing right side up? If I keep all 4 with the writing up right then the one spring will actually be upside down....

Thanks for all the help!!

I'd have to look at mine again, but I don't think it matters. Do the letters facing the right way.
