Default What do I need to fill the ls block..?

I have a bare b18b (ls) block laying in my garage, and im tierd of looking at it. Its bare like i said no pistons no crank no oil pan nothing. Can someone tell me all the parts i need to get it ready to be put togather.

wow.. umm you need to learn a lot. There is so much involed with "building" a block. You first need to build it for what purpose you want.

Turbo, all motor ?
budget ?
hp goals ?

for parts itself you need pistons, rods, bearings, and then replace the oem componets, such as gaskets, oilpump/waterpump, and the connecting bolts, rod/main/head bolts.

you also need to machine the block, a bore and hone is stanard which removes a thin layer of material off the sleeve. i would also recommend you deck the block, which cleans the top of the block where the head and block join.

this is the very very basics. please go read up. just start reading and learning. Contact your local machine shops and talk to them, find some friends online that know what a piston is..

Do you plan on building it back to stock? alternate oem internals? aftermarket internals?
Are you planning on bulding it for all motor, nitrous, or a turbo/supercharger?

Ha ha u got jokes buddy. Im not a complete idiot. I know what im gonna do with it. All i wanted to know was all the little stuf i needed, besides the crank, rods, pistons/rings, and that... stuff like pullys and ****.. but anyway thats for your help smart ***
