What tranny do I have on my RS? It says Y80.
I posted this in the Integra forum already, but I though some of you may now better.
I desided to check the tranny code on my RS with a b18b. It says Y80 on it along with these numbers: 1026450.
After reviewing the chart on http://tiiite.b16a.com/Bgears.htm it shows that LS/GS/RS tegs only had S80 trannies. And that the GSR and JDM SiR/SiG had the Y80 tranny. Does this mean I have a GSR tranny? This would explain why my car is so much faster than my friends LS w/ similar mods.
What do your guys LS/GS/RS tegs b18b swaps say on the tranny?

I just took it out on the high way. At 4000 RPM in 5th, its at 84 MPH. Everyone on my post in the Integra forum keeps saying I don't have a GSR tanny, but I don't understand why my tranny would say Y80 on it if it were a LS. I think Im going to try to get a pic of the sticker tomorrow to show you guys.

The way you describe your mph/rpm it seems like you have an ls tranny.
SE's never came with gsr tranny's.
Maybe the previous owner just stuffed ls internals into a gsr case cause he f'ed up the ls case...

Y80- are ls and GSR trannies
S80-are ls and GSR trannies
in an S80 i believe on the GSR has a vent on top that the LS doesnt have.
I believe you have an LS Y80, by looking at your MPH/RPM.

i think some of the special editions came with vtec transmissions.
4000 r's @ ~85 is a GSR trans if you're rolling on 20's.. heh, sounds like an LS to me though.. I'm still wondering how it could be a Y80..
You need to bring it to Court, he'll take it apart for u..

on my tranny it says S80 and its from a GSR, also at 4k rpm, in 5th gear its around eighty something miles per hour. peace
