I drilled a hole right next to the existing hole because otherwise the Beaks aluminum reinforcement bracket wouldn't be straight otherwise, and possibly become a stress point..
if you want you can try and fit it with the existing hole, even if it makes the bracket crooked - but at least it won't be "plane dodgy"..
I threw out the instructions that came with the kit. but i followed step by step with the instructions. It also may depend on what model/year civic you have. I don't have abs and whatnot. goodluck.

All good, yeh with the hole that close to another a stress point is what you should watch out for, it will be weaker in that area.
Anyways so does anyone have a scan of the instructions or PDF file

There is enough surface area on the face of the bracket that it covers both holes. plus the fact there's an identical bracket on the other side of the subframe. So in essance the metal of the subframe is sandwiched in between the two beaks brackets.
but anyway, now that i think of it, if you were to have the bracket crooked, you'd also have the hard time of trying to attach the sway bar to the D-brackets parallel to the ground.
bump for someone with a PDF file.
